Billy Jean and family, I’m so sad to learn about Billy’s passing. He was a wonderful father and friend to so many. Elizabeth did a fine job raising those kids. The Sears family had strong roots in Rockwall. I’m blessed to have met y’all when I moved to Rockwall.

Oh Pappy,
The memories that have flooded my mind and heart these last few days. There have been smiles, laughter, and tears. You have been a constant in my life since I was born. There was not a home game of football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, or marching band that you and Gran didn’t make. You where always there to support all of us threw everything. Then the later years when we had children to see the love and tenderness as you held your great grandchildren. I’ll never forget the day Kenna was born and seeing this big strong man hold my small new born daughter. My heart melted that day. I know the day you fell asleep on this earth you woke up in the presents of Jesus and what a way to wake up. You will be dearly missed by so many, but I know you are no longer in pain, or suffering. I love you Pappy, and look forward to the day I see you again in Heaven.

My Dearest Brother,
I know you are in the presences of Our Lord and Savior and have been healed of all pain. I just needed to write to you one last time before our reunion in heaven.
Our Merciful Lord saw fit to give me four Godly protectors. He has now placed that job in the capable hands of Bob. Thank You Father!
In the last few weeks the memories of your love and guidance have flooded my mind. As a five year old grasping those strong fingers, you always gave me a feeling of security knowing I was safe in your capable hands. Sitting in first grade and Mrs. Parks wondering about the tears in my eyes and telling her I was scared for you because you were in the army. I remember waiting for you to return from Detroit during a blizzard and I can still hear the air horn as you passed the house. That sound said you were home safe. I remember the letters I received from you during my two tours in Vietnam that were always newsy and upbeat. I remember saying to you when your Grandsons were in harm’s way that I wish I could take their place. You answered yes, this is the second time in my life I would do the same. That hit me very hard knowing what you meant. You had my power -of-attorney when I was in Nam because you were the most honest and trustworthy person I knew.
You were always there for me. You treated me as you did Mike and Dewayne. If James Dobson wanted a picture of tough love it would be a picture of you. The first time I heard you say the words I LOVE YOU, I was 30 years old and it was over the phone. Becky wanted to know why I had tears rolling down my face and I told her Bill just said “I Love You”. I heard it from then on and I will always cherish those three words from your lips. I am sad that I cannot hear those words from you now but I know you loved me.
I will miss you until we are reunited in the presence of our Lord.
Tommy Kelly
