Graveside services for Mr. Coy Gene Fisher, 88, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Woodside Cemetery with Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating.
Mr. Fisher passed away May 9, 2018 in Grand Saline. He was born January 7, 1930, in Grand Saline, to Harvey & Gladys Laday Berry Fisher. He lived all of his life in Grand Saline except for his years serving in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church and retired from Morton Salt after over 36 years of service. He also served on the board of Woodside Cemetery Association. He thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren and walking his dog Rowdy at the city lake. He also loved his front porch and his tobacco. Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean Fisher; and sister, Shirley Yarbrough.
Survivors include his son, Gary Lee Fisher and wife JoAnn of Fruitvale; two daughters, Jeanette Ulmer of Grand Saline and Diane Shipley and husband Roger of Mesquite; sister, Geraldine Yarbrough of Lindale; six grandchildren, Heidi Ewunes, Brian Fisher, Dave Harrison, Meghan Martin, Katie Shipley and Jackie Cotropia; six great-grandchildren, Lexi Ewunes, Vincent Ewunes, Tucker Fisher, Max Fisher, Jayden Cotropia and Landen Cotropia; one great-great-grandchild, Layla Ewunes; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Azalea Trails Nursing & Rehabiliation Center for the amazing care and love they showed to their dad.
