MINEOLA – Memorial services for Mary Virginia Lennon, 70, of Mineola, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Broad Street Church of Christ, Mineola, with Jim Russell officiating. The services are under the direction of the family and the Broad Street Church of Christ.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mrs. Lennon passed away Monday, December 7, 2015, in a Tyler hospital.
She was born October 24, 1945, in Mineola, to the late John Quincy and Iva Jewell Head Plunk. She was a 1964 graduate of Mineola High School. She married Roger Lennon in Mineola on May 1, 1964, and lived most of her life in Wood County. She was a homemaker and a member of Broad Street Church of Christ in Mineola.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Roger Lennon of Mineola; daughters Leah Russell and husband Jim of Navasota, Dawn Drake of Forney; brother Kenneth Plunk and wife Loretta of Channelview; sister-in-law, Trisha Plunk of Spring; sister, Jean Delafield of Mineola; 6 grandchildren, Derek Russell and wife Rachel, Krista and husband Alex Cone; Kevin Drake, Courtney and husband Lance Myers, Quinncy Drake and Colten Drake; 8 great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Kylie, Zamiyah, Eliza, Zahara, Anna, Shnya, and Asia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Benny Plunk; son-in-law Toby Drake, and grandson, Kaleb Drake.
Visitation will be at the church one hour before service time.
