Wayne E.  McNatt
Services for Wayne E. McNatt, 71, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Pederson officiating.
A private family graveside will follow at Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. McNatt passed away June 4, 2017, in a Dallas hospital. He was born March 22, 1946, in Dallas to Gordon Eugene & Mary Lego McNatt. He was born and raised in Dallas where he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1964. Wayne was on the University of Houston’s golf team and also attended SMU. In 1970, he and his wife, Carolyn, purchased land in Grand Saline and moved there, where they became members of the First United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer and had been a member of the Van Zandt County Country Club since the early ‘70’s. Wayne loved bird hunting and was a huge Texas Rangers baseball fan. He especially enjoyed telling stories and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Wayne spent most of his career working for Queen Carpet Corporation, Dalton, GA. Upon his retirement, he had transitioned into being an independent contractor in the flooring industry. He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Carolyn McNatt.
Survivors include his two sons, Bret Wayne McNatt and wife Becky of Grand Saline, and Josh Kimbro McNatt of Wichita, KS; daughter, Mary Susan Neill of Aledo; six grandchildren, Doak Neill, Hayes Neill, Drake McNatt, Carr McNatt, Carolyn Paige McNatt and Tanner Pressley; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Josh McNatt, Bret McNatt, Doak Neill, Harry Clifford, Gayle Lovette, Steve Smith, John Roy Reid and Wiley Garland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hayes Neill and Tanner Pressley.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation (ww5.komen.org).
