Mary Lee Decker
POINT– Services for Mary Lee Griffith Decker, 75, of Point, Texas, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Point, with Pastor Zachary Honzell officiating.
Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery, Emory, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mrs. Decker passed away Monday, January 9, 2017, in Tyler.
She was born August 29, 1941, in Union Valley, to the late William “Buck” Otis and Mary Katheryn Riley Griffith. She married Scott Allen Decker on October 6, 1956, in Durant, Oklahoma. They moved to Point, Texas, in 1997 after living in Mesquite for 40 years. Mary worked with Good Samaritan in Emory and was an active member and volunteer of First Baptist Church in Point. She worked for Olan Mills, Meisel Photochrome, and Fulcolor as a retouch artist.
She is survived by her two sons, Dwain Decker and wife, Becky, of Alba and Michael Decker and wife, Julie, of Union Valley; two sisters, Norma Lois Jobe and husband, Troy Wayne, of Point and Lou Ann Harris and husband Dennis, of Emory; two grandchildren, Travis Decker and wife, Jaime, of Alba and Kristen Decker, DVM of Fate; three step-grandchildren, Krystal, Brittany, and Courtney; and four step-great-grandchildren, Alexis, Riley, Reagan, and Rigley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 59 years, Scott Allen Decker.
Pallbearers will be Travis Decker, Chuck Baldino, Chad Smith, Steve Staggs, Rickey Adams, and Kenneth Brown.
Family visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, Texas.
