Services for Maerene Crane Lambert, 86, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Main Street Baptist Church with Bro. David Crain officiating.
Interment will follow in Haven of Memories, Canton.
Ms. Lambert passed away April 7, 2016, at a Tyler hospital. She was born August 29, 1929, in Canton to Reubin Alfard & Lottie Mae Smith Crane. Maerene graduated from Wills Point High School in 1948. She spent many years in Irving before moving to Grand Saline 39 years ago. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church, the Gleaners Sunday School class; Fun After Fifty-five and the Red Hat Society. She retired as a policy typist for Chubb Insurance Company. Maerene was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rickey Wofford; two brothers, Burleson Crane and GlenRoy Crane; four sisters, Margaret January, Jocille Simmons, Nellwyn Murphree and Geraldean Golden; and granddaughter, Catrina Wofford.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Judy & Michael Koonce of Grand Saline and Marilyn Patel of Ft. Worth; daughter-in-law, Carole Wofford of Carl Junction, MO; grandchildren, Crissy Lynch, Jill Baker, Apryl Iley, Crystal Goodson and Fallyn Maciel; great-grandchildren, Keith, Cole, Michael, Christopher, Madelyn, Nathan, Carter, Graham, Memphis, Taylor and Ashton; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Crane, Donnie Crane, Dwain Crane, Daniel Crane, Grady Simmons, Harry Simmons, Garry Golden, Craig Golden and Clifford Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
