Deborah Sue Baker Ross, 73, of Grand Saline, passed away at her home on May 14, 2025. She was born January 9, 1952, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to Audrey Buskirk and Sydney Baker Jr. Deborah spent most of her life in Galveston County before moving to Grand Saline 17 years ago. She enjoyed tending her shop, “This & That,” at First Monday Trade Days, in Canton, where she spent many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Ross; and three sisters, Janice Brumfield, Connie Glockengieser, and Trisha Elsberry.
Survivors include her daughters, Christina Lewis (Leroy) of Lampasas, Jennifer McGallian (Billy Lloyd) of Grand Saline, and Danielle Ross of Burleson; her brother, Sydney Baker III (Mary) of Livingston; sisters, Pamela Cremer of Seabrook, Cheryl Hughes (Billy) of Seabrook, and Kim Baker of Port Bolivar; brothers-in-law, Wayne Brumfield of Grand Saline and Calvin Elsberry of La Porte; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
Deborah will be remembered by her family and friends for her love and dedication to those around her.
