Obituary for Bimmy Ray Boyles

Services for Mr. Bimmy Ray Boyles, 68, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2023, at New Horizon Assembly of God, with Bro. Randy Fisher, Max Cunningham, and Bro. Otis Lea officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Mr. Boyles passed away February 21, 2023, in Tyler. He was born February 7, 1955, in Grand Saline. Bimmy graduated from Grand Saline High School, Class of 1973. He spent all his life in the Van Zandt County area where he was a member of New Horizon Assembly of God. Bimmy retired from Irving Fire Department as a Lieutenant, after 37 years of service, and was a member of the Irving Firefighters Association. He was an avid fisherman and had also pastored Cottonwood Assembly of God, New Horizon Assembly of God, and Canton First Assembly. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Wayne Boyles, and his in-laws, Everett & Bea Whitus.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Billie Boyles of Alba; parents, William Ray & Margarette Boyles of Grand Saline; son, Bryan Boyles and wife Leesa of Grand Saline; sister-in-law, Teena Boyles of Grand Saline; three grandchildren, Parker Boyles of Richardson, Blake Boyles of Grand Saline, and Graham Boyles of Grand Saline; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Bolin, John Currey, Ronnie Monk, John Whitus, Mike Whitus, and Robert Clinard.

The Irving Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home.
