Obituary for Ruben Ray Flowers
Funeral services for Ruben Ray Flowers, 57, of Longview, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home in Grand Saline with David Flowers officiating. Interment will be held at Sand Flat Cemetery.
Ruben passed away Friday, February 17, 2023, at his home in Longview. He was born February 9, 1966, in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Billy Wayne and Etta Faye (Clark) Flowers. Ruben has lived in Longview since 2017 and was previously of Grand Saline, Texarkana, Tyler, and Henderson. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Grand Saline. Ruben was a true sports enthusiast and particularly enjoyed the Texas Longhorns and Texas Rangers.
Ruben is survived by his wife, Cindy Flowers of Longview; son, Landon Flowers of Henderson; step-son, Stephen Medlin, wife, Mandie, and their 2 children, Alexis and Cade of Diana; brother, Doug Flowers and wife, Beverly of Grand Saline; sisters, Kay Flowers of Ft. Worth, Brenda Davis and husband, Tommy of Grand Saline, Misty Flowers Countryman and husband, Kevin of Grand Saline; close friends, Danny and Wendy Milam; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Toby Davis, Daniel Flowers, Dusty Davis, Danny Milam, Austin Countryman, and Morgan Good.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home in Grand Saline.
