Graveside services for Emmie Grisham, 89, of Alba, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery, Golden, with Chaplain Robert Stovall officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mrs. Grisham passed away January 20, 2023, in Tyler. She was born March 15, 1933, in Golden to Joe and Effie Wilson Lutonsky. Emmie lived all her life in the Alba-Golden area and was a member of Pilgrim Rest #2 Baptist Church. On March 15, 1951, she married Jack “Sam” Grisham in Alba. She worked as a sewing factory supervisor. Emmie really loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, doing word search puzzles, playing solitaire, and spending time with her family. Emmie is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, Jack “Sam” Grisham; brother, Daniel Lutonsky; two sons-in-law, Larry Holte and J.C. Gore; and an infant grandbaby.
Survivors include her son, Jackie Grisham; two daughters, Shirley Holte and Cynthia Gore all of Alba; brother, Walter Lutonsky of Quitman; sister, Marie Galyean of Mineola; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends, 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, at the Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
