Obituary for Bobby Utley
Services for Mr. Bobby Utley, 82, of Greenville, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Interment will be in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mr. Utley passed away November 23, 2022, in Greenville. He was born June 28, 1940, in Hopkins County, to Earl & Nellie Lorine Harris Utley. Bobby spent most of his life in Dallas, then the last 20 years in Bonham, before moving to Greenville. Mr. Utley owned/operated several full-service filling stations in Oak Cliff, then drove a gasoline truck for many years. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Dustin Smith; brother, Thomas Utley; mother of his children, Jannie Utley; and son-in-law, Richard “Smitty” Smith.
Survivors include four sons, Danny Utley of Red Oak, Bobby “Sam” Utley of Cedar Creek Lake, Terry “Doogle” Utley of Hurst-Euless-Bedford, and Jodee Utley of Athens; two daughters, Kimberley Smith of Greenville, and Tracy Hoots of Athens; sister, Mary Lou Friddle of Forney; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Smith, Jodee Utley, Michael Smith, Paige Humphreys, and Shonna LeMay.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
