Obituary for Timothy Wayne Hodges
Services for Timothy Wayne Hodges, 32, of Gilmer, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Liberty Temple Church with Bro. D’Wayne Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mr. Hodges passed away November 4, 2022, in Winnsboro. He was born July 22, 1990, in Terrell to Claude & Linda Arburthnot Hodges. Timothy spent most of his life in Fruitvale where he graduated from Fruitvale High School, Class of 2008, and was a member of Liberty Temple Church. He spent 14 years working in the oil field, most recently as a driller for Scan Drilling Co. Timothy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Grady Fikes, and George & Gay Arburthnot.
Survivors include his grandmother, Sylvia Fikes of Grand Saline; parents, Claude & Linda Hodges of Mt. Vernon; two sons, Ryder Hodges and River Hodges, both of Edgewood; fiancée, Deann Nicole Wade of Gilmer; two brothers, Kenny Houghland of Denison, and Grady Hodges of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Ashlynne Hodges of Winnsboro, Miranda Hodges of Yantis, and Brittiany Hodges of Mt. Vernon; Lance Worden of Winnsboro, that was like a brother to Timothy; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Grady Hodges, Kenny Houghland, Mike Fikes, Aaron Fikes, Jim Sale, Lance Worden, Donny Green, and B.J. Bolin.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
