Services for Cynthia Diane “Cindy” Rains, 48, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Herring officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Grand Saline.
Mrs. Rains passed away August 19, 2022, at her residence in Grand Saline. She was born October 1, 1973, in Jacksonville, to Kenneth and Patricia Frazier Thorp. Cindy lived most of her life in Jacksonville before moving to Grand Saline 18 years ago. On May 13, 2006, she married Brian Rains in Van. She had previously attended Lake Point Church in Rockwall. Cindy is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Thorp; and son, Logan Mulder.
Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Brian Rains of Grand Saline; mother, Patricia Simmons of Chandler; three sons, Derek Fielding of Chandler, Lance Rains and fiancé Kaylee Simpson of Chandler, and Keilee Rains and wife Courtney of Sunnyvale; daughter, Emily Seahorn and husband Randy of Crandall; two brothers, Randy Thorp of Caddo Mills and Shane Thorp of Jacksonville; two sisters, Kelly Thorp Martin of Alto and Cathy Thorp of Louisiana; seven grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Rains, Cory Rains, James “Ralph” Stephens, Brad Smith, Derek Fielding, Lance Rains, and Keilee Rains.
