Obituary for Mary Frances Kitchens (Malone)

Services for Mary Frances Malone Kitchens, 93, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Smith officiating.

Interment will be in Creagleville Cemetery.

Mary passed away July 30, 2022, in Tyler. She was born February 7, 1929, in the Friendship Community, near Grand Saline, to Henry Anderson and Cora Lee Goodman Malone. On October 6, 1946, she married John Dee Kitchens in Grand Saline. Mary lived all her life in Grand Saline and was a charter member of Richland Heights Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 45 years, John Dee Kitchens; son Johnny Wayne Kitchens; two daughters, Mary Martin and Beverly Sloan; four brothers, Bill Malone, John Malone, Kelly Malone, and Jay Malone; six sisters, Georgia Hobbs, Juanita Lucas, Margie Clark, Dorothy Boyles, Helen Stone, and Louise Stone; and great-great-grandson, Cody James Cofer.

Survivors include her son, Ronnie Kitchens and wife Lynn of Grand Saline; three daughters, Patricia Goggans and husband Terry of Alba, Linda Keith and husband James of McKinney, and Dorothy Meyer and husband Kenneth of Kilgore; four nieces; three nephews; eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mary’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas Homeplace, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas, 75701.

The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
