Graveside services for Cecil Delbert Kindle, 92, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Woodside Cemetery, with Taylor Rogers officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. Kindle passed away July 22, 2022, in Grand Saline. He was born April 18, 1930, in McKinney, to Cecil William and Eula Velma Wilson Kindle. On August 19, 1950, he married Alma Sue Bates in McKinney. Cecil had lived in Grand Saline for 35 years and was a member of Main Street Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He also helped Sue with Sunday School at Country Trails Nursing Home for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Cecil David Kindle; and sister, Lucille Lake.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years; Sue Kindle of Grand Saline; son, Kerry Kindle and wife Debbie; two daughters, Elizabeth Rogers and Alice Adams and husband Charlie all of Grand Saline; nine grandchildren, Kerry Kindle, Jr., Brandon Kindle, Emily Crain, Taylor Rogers, Preston Rogers, Zach Rogers, Aliceann Wright, Martin Hayward, and Lynn Kennedy; twenty great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Kindle, Jr., Brandon Kindle, Taylor Rogers, Preston Rogers, Zach Rogers, Martin Hayward.
The family will be available to visit with friends before the service on Saturday at the church.
