Obituary for Peggy Spann (McKinney)
Services for Peggy Spann, 85, of Mineola, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Sand Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Spann, Bro. Jim Parker, and Bro. Brandon Gray officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Interment will be in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery, Golden.
Mrs. Peggy McKinney Spann passed away July 15, 2022. She was born July 14, 1937, in Direct, to Charlie Grady & Una Evans McKinney. Peggy had lived the last 36 years of her life in Mineola, where she was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church. She especially enjoyed being a member of the Ladies Prayer Group on Sunday mornings, singing gospel songs, and volunteering at Kindness Kottage. Peggy retired as a hairdresser. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delmar Spann; great-granddaughter, Tommie Spann; six brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include her three sons, Delmer Spann and wife Carol of North Richland Hills, Robert Spann and wife Debra of Mineola, and Roger Spann and wife Stephana of Arlington; sister, Faye Spann of Trenton; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren on the way; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brian David Spann, Robert Nathanial Spann, David Marshall, Jimmy Spann, Michael Spann, Steven Spann, and David Spann.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the funeral home.
