Services for Mr. Donald Wayne Pierce, 81, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. Don Flemming and Bro. Matt Herron officiating.
Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mr. Pierce passed away May 31, 2022, in Tyler. He was born April 4, 1941, in the Lawrence Springs Community of Van Zandt County, to John Cosby & Lopez Herron Pierce. He graduated from GSHS, Class of 1958. Mr. Pierce spent most of his life in the Lawrence Springs area. He achieved his Lone Star Farmers Degree, worked for Ford Motor Company for over 36 years, and was a member of JSM (Jimmy Swaggart Ministry). Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jearld Pierce.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Sandra Pierce of Grand Saline; son, Kelly Pierce and wife Marina of Tomball; two daughters, Sharon Driver and husband Ben of Forney, and Stephanie Zimmerman and husband Gary of Lindale; two sisters, Betty Davis and husband Tommy of Grand Saline, and Patrecia Laurel and husband Vic of Granbury; seven grandchildren, Manuel, Rian, Samantha, Katelyn, Andrea, Matt, and Ben; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Ashleigh; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Billy Jack Bateman, Ben Driver, Rian Pierce, Manuel Berrera, Duane Davis, Tommy Davis, Vic Laurel, Victor Laurel, and Daniel Laurel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Zimmerman, Ben Zimmerman, and Gary Zimmerman.
