Obituary for C.L. Anders
Services for C.L. Anders, 80, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, with Bro. Otis Lee officiating.
Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Anders passed away February 19, 2022, in Tyler. He was born October 24, 1941, in Winnsboro. C.L. lived in Winnsboro before moving to Alba 54 years ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orvil Merriam & Lillie Lue Lindley Anders; three brothers, J.C. Anders, Glenn Anders, and Albert Anders; two sisters, Alice Weems, and Reba Wetzel; grandson, Louis Lewers; and great-grandson, Landon Busbee.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Duene Anders of Alba; two daughters, Joetta Anders of Alba, and Malisa Thompson and husband Robert of Alba; three brothers, Percy Anders and wife Betsy of Gordon, Wayne Anders and wife Glenda of Leesburg, and Ray Anders and wife Molly of Winnsboro; sister, Faye Russom and husband Jerry of Winnsboro; eight grandchildren, Timothy, Candace, Travis, Phillip, Judy, Khrysta, Tiffany, and Victoria; ten great-grandchildren; many “adopted” grandkids, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Travis Anders, Phillip Lewers, Richard Anders, Bobby Anders, Timothy Anders, and Gavin Morrow.
Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Lewers, Jered Taylor, Shawn Newland, and Landon Busbee.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
