Services for Janice Ruth Chaney Barry, 81, of Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, January 3, 2022, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. Byron George officiating.

Interment will be in Enon Cemetery, Alba.

Mrs. Barry passed away December 27, 2021, in Tyler. She was born January 22, 1940, in Greenville, to Herman Duard and Pansy Marie Murdock Chaney. Janice lived in Houston most of her life and graduated from Galena Park High School, class of 1958. On September 14, 1968, she married Jimmie Darrel Barry, Sr., in Galena Park. She moved to Tyler 7 years ago. Janice was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 24 years, Jimmie Barry, Sr., and infant brother, James H. Chaney.

Survivors include her stepson, Jim Barry, Jr. of Colorado; stepdaughter, Katherine Lamb and husband Bret of San Antonio; brother, Dr. Robert “Bubba” Chaney and wife Nancy of Springdale, Arkansas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends, 10 a.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
