Services for Margaret Marie Powell Tyson, 72, of Alba, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba, with Chaplain Lionel Whitaker officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mrs. Tyson passed away December 5, 2021, in Mineola. She was born November 25, 1949, in Frankston, to Belton Lee and Dorothy Marie Smith Powell. Margaret had lived the last 35 years in the Alba area, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Mineola. She loved to draw, paint, and sew. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Dwight Hurst; and husband, James Martin Tyson.
Survivors include her two sons, Dennis Hurst and wife Janet and Bryan Hurst and wife Mcxie all of Mineola; daughter, Kimberly Watson and Roy Adams of Alba; brother, Walter Lee Powell and wife Alice of South Texas; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one on the way; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends, 10 a.m., Thursday, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
