Services for Shirley Ann Armstrong, 82, of Seagoville, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, July 23, 2021, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Meadows officiating
Mrs. Armstrong passed away July 19, 2021, at her residence in Seagoville. She was born August 3, 1938, in Collin County to Robert and Freda Harris Gibbons. On July 25, 1993, she married Jerry Armstrong in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shirley lived most of her life in Seagoville. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, James Gibbons and Rob Gibbons.
Survivors include her husband of almost 28 years, Jerry Dale Armstrong of Seagoville; son, Charles Stiffler, Jr. of Garland; two stepsons, Jerry Armstrong, Jr. of Seagoville and James Armstrong of Tool; daughter, Charlene Stiffler D’Angelo of Seagoville; three stepdaughters, Diana Armstrong of Seagoville, Mary Anne Shafer of Mabank, and Pamela Sue Koop of Caddo Mills; two brothers, Terry Gibbons of Paris and Clyde Gibbons of Oklahoma; three sisters, Dorothey Plunk of Paris, Nita Jones of Sawyer, Oklahoma, and Darla King of Paris; two grandchildren, Joseph D’Angelo of Seagoville and Jesse Stiffler of Garland; two great-grandchildren, Sarah D’Angelo and Matthew D’Angelo; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Armstrong, Jr., James Armstrong, Nathan Hawkins, Christopher Armstrong, Jeremy Armstrong, and Thomas Armstrong.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Stiffler, Jr., Joseph D’Angelo, Terry Gibbons, and Clyde Gibbons.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
