Graveside services for Celia "Nell" Hawkins Phillips Peel, 82, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Haven of Memories Cemetery, Canton, with Rev. Richard Preston Morgan officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mrs. Peel passed away May 13, 2021, in College Station. She was born August 23, 1938, in Grand Saline to Jessie C. & Pauline Lindsey Hawkins. Celia was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. She retired from Morton Salt Company after 21 years of service. Mrs. Peel is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Peel; son, Michael Phillips; sister & brother-in-law, Joy & Bob Lord; and two brothers, Sammy Hawkins and Donald Hawkins.
Survivors include her son, MCPO Thomas Hahn and wife Veronica of College Station; daughter, Mary Hahn Morgan and husband Dr. Richard Morgan of College Station; five grandchildren, Richard Preston Morgan, Paul Michael Morgan, Thomas Anthony Hahn, Emily Grace Hahn, and Haydn Pierce Hahn; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Taylor Morgan and Richard Ephraim Morgan; nieces, Cindy Milligan & husband Fred and Vickie Hahn Lamb & husband Martin; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m., Saturday, May 29th, at the funeral home.
