Obituary for Jean Watson (Adams)

Graveside services for Mrs. Jean Watson, 84, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 12 Noon, Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, with Dr. Bruce Smilie officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mrs. Wilma Jean Adams Watson passed away April 24, 2021 at her home. She was born June 28, 1936, in Oak Grove (near Dekalb, Bowie County), to R. S. “Bud” & Roxie Ballew Adams. She lived in Arlington from 1954 to 1987, where she worked and retired from National Cash Register. Mrs. Watson moved to Grand Saline in 1987 and attended Main Street Baptist Church. She loved to travel with her husband in their many motor homes and had visited all 50 states and Canada. “Momma Jean” loved spoiling her great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ed Watson; her parents; and her sister, Carolyn Kilts.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Rick Griffin of Grand Saline; son, Tony Watson of Grand Saline; brother, Charles Adams of Gulfport, Mississippi; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Richard White of Dekalb; three grandchildren, Kyle and Trisha Griffin of Scurry, Lindsay and Matt Green of Rockwall, and Edmon Watson of Bluemound; five great-grandchildren, Johnny, Justin, and Joel Griffin, and Griffin and Lofton Green; and numerous other relatives and friends.
