Obituary

Graveside services for Mrs. Leslie Ann Campbell Simpson, 83, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, April 2, 2021 at Woodside Cemetery with Bro. Donnie Herring officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Simpson passed away March 28, 2021, in Grand Saline. She was born May 16, 1937 in Dallas, to Lloyd William and Leslie Madline Swafford Campbell. Leslie spent her early years in Dallas, before moving to Grand Saline over fifty years ago. She enjoyed traveling, adventures, gardening, animals, and garage sales. She was especially interested in the wild west and outlaw history. Leslie was known for her green thumb, as she could get any plant to grow, and was also passionate about her horses. She loved taking them on trail rides. Leslie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommie Joe Simpson; and brother, Earl Lloyd Campbell.
Survivors include her son David Keith Simpson of Grand Saline; two granddaughters, Tiffany Simpson and husband David Hagopian and Amber Simpson; seven great-grandchildren, Gage, Jaden, Juniper, Atticus, Leslie, Ivy, and Ezra; nephew, Ricky Swafford; niece, Bebe Swafford; and numerous other relatives and friends.
