Obituary for James Lawrence McCormack

Services for James Lawrence McCormack, 75, of Quitman, are scheduled for 12 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Dwayne McCormack officiating.

Interment will be in Colony Cemetery, Alba.

Mr. McCormack passed away January 22, 2021, in Sulphur Springs. He was born September 2, 1945, in Grand Saline to Henry Lawrence and Beulah Ann Young McCormack. James has lived the last 23 years in Quitman and was a member of First Baptist Church, Alba. He worked at LTV in Grand Prairie, applying sheet metal and pop riveting to the wings of 747’s. He enjoyed dancing, bowling, racing, and showing out. James loved his family dearly. On January 4, 2020, he married Patricia Ann Woodson in Quitman. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia McCormack of Quitman; three daughters, Dianna Castillo and husband Benito of Irving, Bobbie Thompson and husband Anthony of Irving, and Charlotte Mothershed and husband Shawn of Granbury; step-son, Dev Wooten of Quanah; two step-daughters, Jessica Colbert and Tamisha Northam both of Quanah; brother, Jimmy McCormack and wife Carolyn of Alba; two sisters, Faye Griffin of Wills Point and Betty Finley and husband Thomas of Mineola; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Conn, Timathy Castillo, Jeff Mendoza, Steve Matthews, Shawn Mothershed, and Lane Thompson.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 219 E. Holley, Alba, Texas 75410 or to the charity of your choice.
