Obituary for John Edward "Johnny" Hill
Services for John Edward “Johnny” Hill, 66, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Alba, with Bro. Byron George and Bro. Kevin Moree officiating under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba.
Mr. Hill passed away November 7, 2020, at his residence in Alba. He was born September 28, 1954, in Grand Saline, to Frank and Pauline Taylor Hill. On January 4, 1999, he married Joyce Elaine Daem in Ft. Worth. Johnny was a lifelong resident of the Alba area and a member of Amazing Grace Fellowship Church. He liked to race cars, fish, and aggravate folks. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerrell Hill and Earnest Hill; two sisters, Margie Gipson and Mae Bell; and daughter, Amanda Hill.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Joyce Hill of Alba; two sons, J.R. Carney and Tracy Carney both of Alba; five daughters, Christy Tompkins of Carthage, Melissa Stogsdill and husband Steve of Krum, and Courtney Boehm of Arlington, Tabatha Brown and husband Joseph of Alba and Joie Koonce of Grand Saline; sixteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Sherwood, Tommy Hass, Les Sweeden, Robbie Hill, Randall Cole, Dustin Perkins, Joey Pierce, and Dustin Corley.
The family will receive friends, 1 p.m., Wednesday, at the Church.
