Obituary for James Clinton Gore

Services for Mr. James Clinton Gore, 73, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2020, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. Grady Dollar officiating.

Interment will be in Pilgrim Rest #2 Cemetery, Golden.

Mr. Gore passed away October 14, 2020, in Longview. He was born November 10, 1946, in Springhill, Louisiana, to George Elmer and Myrtle Martill Nunn Gore. On October 31, 1987, James married Cynthia Marie Grisham in Quitman. He was a member of the United States Navy and worked in construction as a plumber. He had lived the last thirty-seven years in the Alba-Golden area. James loved to be with his family. He enjoyed playing with his grandbabies, fishing, and playing dominoes. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Billy Charles Gore and Thomas Herman Gore.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Cynthia Gore of Alba; two sons, James Clinton Gore, Jr. and wife Ashleigh of Quinlan and Shane Patterson and wife Allison of King William, Virginia; three daughters, Angel Tucker and husband Sean of Golden, Kathy White and husband Shane of Longwood, Florida, and Kelli Stevenson and husband Josh of Alba; two brothers, George Elbert Gore of Bonney Lake, Washington, and Alex Sherman Gore and wife Linda of Magnolia, Arkansas; sister, Jeanie Bolton of Alba; seventeen grandchildren, Zak, Brian, Kirstin, Maddie, Katelyn, Koby, Allie, Emmy, Larkin, Thomas, Hailey, Heidi, Kasidee, Zoie, Averi, Jack, and Sawyer; one great-grandson, Zane; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Stevenson, Sean Tucker, Brian Reichel, Mack Curry, Jr., Brendan Curry, and Tony Gore.

The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
