Services for Roxie Ann Robertson, 67, of Point, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Believer’s Baptist Church, Emory, with Bro. Jason Roland officiating.
Interment will follow in Colony Cemetery under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mrs. Robertson passed away October 1, 2020, in a Tyler hospital. She was born December 2, 1952, in Hugo, OK, to Kenneth & Laura Harris Sumner. Roxie spent her early years in Oak Cliff and graduated from Crozier Tech High School in Dallas in 1971, which was the last year the school operated. She also spent three years in Alaska, and then the last 33 years in Rains & Wood County. She worked at Texas Instruments, Max-A-Mart in Emory, and Parkview Nursing Home in Paris, while taking care of her mother and grandmother. She was very artistic and enjoyed photography, drawing, and coloring. Roxie loved her family and animals so much. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Danny Alan Sumner; and her dog “child” Rosebud Robertson.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Shane Robertson of Point; son, Jason Lee Michaels and wife Robin of Rowlett; granddog, Tobias Fornell Michaels; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Artie Hahn, Kenneth Adams, Randy Griggs, Dusty Hahn, Debbie Adams and Lorie Griggs.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sondra McCurry, Denise Oliver, Benji Wedeking, Jon Wedeking, Timothy Wedeking, and Karl Wedeking.
