I loved my Aunt Shirley. She was a positive in my childhood, she was always smiling and making our get togethers a fun time with her humor and laugh. There was a time when my 2 sisters and I were small, it was right at Christmas time, and our mother was in a car accident. Aunt Shirley and Uncle Frank opened their home to us and shared their family Christmas with us, even making sure we had Christmas gifts to open on Christmas morning. I remember Aunt Shirley cooking in her kitchen, I believe it was cupcakes, and she took time to let me share that time with her. She pulled me in to try and take my mind off of mother. At that time I didn’t realize the extent of what she was doing, but through the years, as I grew older, I realized her gesture. Aunt Shirley was like that. She was a wonderful aunt, I will always remember her smile and her love.

Sandy and Kimbra, my heart and prayers are with you during this time, it is a hard thing to lose our mothers, I know you will miss her, hold on to your sweet memories.

While I will not be attending the services for Aunt Shirley due to the Covid-19 virus, I will have the whole family in my thoughts and prayers.

With love,
