Obituary for William Charles "Bill" Haughn
Services for William Charles “Bill” Haughn, 76, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, July 19, 2020, at First Baptist Church, Alba, with Bro. Dwayne McCormack officiating under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. Haughn passed away July 15, 2020, at his residence in Alba. He was born November 28, 1943, in Newton, Massachusetts, to Robert and Mildred Haughn. On October 8, 1983, Bill married Sherrylyn Sue Lamb in Irving. They have been together for a total of 42 years. Moving from Florida, he had lived in the Alba area for the last 17 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, Alba. Bill was a member of the United States Air Force and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He treated everyone special and was a very loving, generous, and gracious gentleman. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Joanie, Wilma, and Marilyn.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Sherry Haughn of Alba; daughter, Angie Osborn and husband Mark of Alba; brother, Robert Donald Haughn and wife Barbara of Mercedes; two grandchildren, Kayla Osborn and Danny Osborn and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Osborn, Jim May, Chad Lennon, Danny Osborn, Jim Osborn and Tony McCormack.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Saturday at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
