Memorial services for Mrs. Shirley Ruth Lyons Belcher, 78, of Quitman, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Lake Fork Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Meek officiating under the direction of the family and church.
Mrs. Belcher passed away June 23, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. She was born December 2, 1941, in Houston, Texas to George Buford and Vada Mae Steele Lyons. On October 22, 1982, she married Jimmy Belcher in Rockwall. Shirley had lived over 20 years in Yantis and was a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Johnny Hatley; second husband, Jimmy (Jim) Belcher; sister, Phyllis Dial; and stepson, Ronnie Belcher.
Mrs. Belcher is survived by three daughters, Shannon Brown of Garland, Shyrl Clark and husband Howard of Garland, and Sheila Makant of Greenville; one stepdaughter, Shanna Foster and husband Mike of McKinney; one brother, George Lyons and wife Janelle of Alba; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
