Graveside services for Beverly Sue North Buck, 70, of Quitman are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2020, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Alba with Rev. Ron Liles and Rev. David Bethel officiating under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.

Beverly passed away May 4, 2020, at her residence in Quitman. She was born October 11, 1949 in Mineola to Raymond Theodore and Mary Jo Murray North. Beverly was a long time Fort Worth resident. She lived in Wood County for the last 20 years and was a member of New Life Church in Mineola.

Beverly graduated from Trimble Tech High School in 1967. She married her sweetheart, Sam Buck, on August 16, 1969. Together, Sam and Beverly owned Sammy Buck Construction Company for 32 years.

Beverly was a talented artist. Her paintings are incredible works of art, treasured by her family and friends. She taught art classes at Calvary Christian Academy for 10 years.

Beverly loved her family dearly. She was so proud of her 4 sons and their families. She loved cooking for them, gardening at the farm and teaching her grandchildren how to paint. She enjoyed reading the Bible, praying for and encouraging others, and attending church. Beverly lived her life simply – she was a true example of a Christian woman and her whole life was devoted to God. She lived her entire life with the focus of preparing for Heaven. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit and unwavering faith in God.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Jo; and infant brother, Earl Don North.

Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Sam Buck of Quitman; four sons, Marshall Buck of Crowley, Anthony Buck and wife Misi of Mansfield, Aaron Buck and wife Lorin of Graford, and Nathan Buck and wife Cynthia of Burleson; one brother, Gordon North and wife Brenda of Burleson; one sister, Kerri Whitt and husband Mike of Oak Park, MI; twelve grandchildren, Andria, Aaron, Megan, Jake, Brooke, Trevor, Kelsey, Hannah, Beren, Tuff, Bowen, and Marley; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Trevor Buck, Jake Cramer, Aaron Barton, Beren Buck, Kevin Kelley, Tim Gattis, Kane Turner, Anthony Long, and Johnny Wetzel.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba.

Memorials may be made to New Life Church, P.O. Box 973, Mineola, TX 75773 for Home Missions.

Always the same! Faithful! She had more than 4 boys, there were a bunch of us. The biggest breakfast platters of French toast you’ve ever seen. What a great example of Christianity! Thank you for everything Sis. Buck!
