Obituary for Dauphin Lawrence Parrish

Private graveside services for Mr. Dauphin Lawrence Parrish, 62, of Point, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Salem Cemetery, Alba, with Bro. Robert Burns officiating under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Parrish passed away April 11, 2020, in Tyler. He was born September 12, 1957, in Dallas, to L.E. & Joyce Thorn Parrish. He lived in Wood and Rains County most of his life, where he was a member of Emory Baptist Church. He was a minister of the gospel with Sink or Swim and Residents Encounter Christ Prison Ministries. He also worked as a welder. Dauphin was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Aline Parrish, April 12, 2009.
Survivors include his son, Tyler Parrish of Michigan; nephew, Dustin Briggs and wife Nancy of Point; one granddaughter, Lucy Parrish; three great-nieces, Kristie, Katie and Kaylee; two great-nephews, Kaden and Kameron; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dempsey Bullock, Joe Green, Joseph Swab, James Grubbs, Dap Clayton and Jason Dodson.
We will have viewing at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. We will follow the State and CDC COVID-19 guidelines for 10 or less people at a gathering. Please be patient with us all as we honor Mr. Parrish while keeping everyone involved healthy.
