Services for Mr. O D Copeland, 74, Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Herring officiating.
Burial will be in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mr. Copeland passed away January 10, 2020, at his home. He was born January 27, 1945, in Grand Saline, to Elijah & Onia Hare Copeland. O D spent all of his life in Grand Saline where he worked in the oil fields for many years and was also a concrete finisher until retirement. He attended Round Flat Pentecostal Church. Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, J R Copeland, J V Copeland, Richard Copeland and Virgil Nelson; and two sisters, Charlene Sides and Ruby Nelson.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Paula Copeland of Grand Saline; two sons, Billy Dean Copeland and Irene Chiles of Grand Saline and Roger Copeland and wife Amanda of Alba; two brothers, Earl Ray Copeland and wife Marie of Grand Saline and Sammy Gene Copeland and wife Mary of Grand Saline; sister, Merle Fay Schnadenberg; three grandchildren, Patience, Aiden and Haven; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2020, at the funeral home.
