LONE OAK – Funeral services for Mattie Rado Woodson Elmore, 88, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Lone Oak Baptist Church, with Bro. Robert Cook officiating.
Interment will be in Lone Oak City Cemetery, Lone Oak, under the direction of Bartley’s Lone Oak Funeral Home.
Mrs. Elmore passed away Friday, July 5, 2019, at a nursing home in Greenville. She was born May 4, 1931, in Bailey, to the late Pleasant Richard and Bertha Scarborough Woodson. She married Jack Allen Elmore on December 2, 1950. Mattie lived most of her life in Hunt County and was retired after working for 26 years at Hagars Pants Manufacturing in Greenville as a presser. She was a member of the Pine Mills Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her son, Richard Elmore and wife Vicki of Lone Oak; daughters, Jackie Stone and husband Larry of Lone Oak and Nova Joy Elmore of Lake Palestine; sisters, Lertha McCannon of Savoy and Loretta Woodson of Savoy; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Elmore; son, Dewey Elmore; four brothers; one sister; grandson, Paul Elmore; and great-grandson, Tavion.
Pallbearers will be Lee Holleman, Eli Holleman, Adam Elmore, Dave Elmore, Chase Elmore, John Holleman, and Little Dave Elmore.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
