Obituary for Betty Clifford Gray (Starkey)
Services for Betty Clifford Gray, 87, Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, July 5, 2019, at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Mark Pedersen officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. Gray passed away July 1, 2019 in Grand Saline. She was born August 1, 1931, in Longview to George & Willie Mae Tucker Starkey. She spent her early years in Grand Saline, many years in Dallas, Irving,and Greenville and the last 14 years back in Grand Saline. She worked at First National Bank of Grand Saline, Lakewood Country Club, Top of the Cliff and Van Zandt Country Club. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry Gray; two brothers, George Starkey Jr. and Kenneth Starkey; and two sisters, Joy Atkinson and Barbara Hoskinson.
Survivors include son, Harry C. Clifford III and wife Emile of Grand Saline; four brothers, Bill Starkey and wife Esther of Anchorage, AL, Jerry Starkey and wife Barbara Ann of Rockwall, Gary Starkey and wife Bo of Cisco and Richard Starkey of Dallas; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Starkey of Dallas and Lucine Starkey of Cisco; brother-in-law, James Hoskinson of Hideaway Lake; one grandchild, Travis Clifford and wife Susan of Aledo; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Harley Clifford; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Thompson, Mike Land, David Davis, Robert Marshall Davidson, John Terry Rash and Thomas Pugh.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Grand Saline.
