Obituary for Buddy Furrh

Services for Mr. Buddy Furrh, 78, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2019, at Caney Creek Cowboy Church with Bro. Randy Edwards officiating.
Interment and Masonic services will follow at Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Buddy James Furrh passed away March 11, 2019, in Grand Saline. He was born February 28, 1941, in Turkey to Willburn Benton & Ollie Mae Walker Furrh. He spent most of his life in Wills Point before moving to Grand Saline 33 years ago. He was a member of Grand Saline Masonic Lodge 1269 and Caney Creek Cowboy Church where he served as an Elder. Buddy had been self-employed for over 40 years in construction in and around Grand Saline. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Elizabeth Furrh of Grand Saline; sons, Darin Furrh and wife Lisa of Point and Scott Bradley and wife Jeanét of Bullard; daughter, Amanda Strebeck of Carrollton; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Terry Furrh, Jerry Furrh, James Keese, Chris Koonce, Jaden Furrh, Jacob Edwards, and Calvin Knight.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Furrh, Braydon Bradley, Adrian Furrh, Keaton Furrh, Kearston Bradley, Madalyn Feldman, Preslee Feldman, Autumn Furrh and Avery Furrh.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
