Obituary for Earl Bennett
Services for Mr. Earl Bennett, 81, of Murchison, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating.
Interment will follow in Sand Flat Cemetery.
Mr. Bennett passed away March 10, 2019, at his home in Murchison. He was born February 14, 1938, in Forney, to Dick Neal & Bessie Mae Hudgins Bennett. He lived his life in Forney and Dallas before moving to the Athens/Murchison area in 1989. He retired as an aircraft machinist from LTV and he loved playing dominoes. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Cecelia Ann Butler Bennett and Wanda Joyce Luman Bennett; daughter, Kathilene Arnett Bennett; granddaughter, Staci Dawn Huff; grandson, Michael Chad Bennett; sisters, Agnes Willmon and Mary Louise Breckenridge; and brothers, Gearl Bennett and Warren Bennett.
Survivors include his son, Shane Bennett and Regena King of Murchison; five grandchildren, Shane Bennett Jr., Kera Reese and husband Eugene, Michaela Bennett and fiancé Cody Crase, April Harp and husband Chris; and Terry Bennett; eight great-grandchildren, Kaleb Hendricks, Kaylee Hendricks, Gage Brown, Kane Hendricks, Lucas Brown, Charli Harp, Averi Harp and Mattie King; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Shane Bennett Jr., Terry Bennett, Larry Butler, Chris Butler, Gage Brown and Kaleb Hendricks.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Bartley Funeral Home.
