Services for Jo Ann Harger, 73, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 2 pm, Monday, January 14, 2019, at Riverside Mission Church in Grand Saline, with Bro. Donnie Herring, Sis. Delana Wheeler, and Bro. Ronnie Wheeler officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Harger passed away January 12, 2019 in Grand Saline. She was born June 24, 1945 in Fruitvale to Erwin and Bernice Morgan Alexander. Jo Ann lived all her life in the Fruitvale and Grand Saline area. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Harger; daughter, Louella Harger; two brothers, Roy Alexander and Henry Alexander.
Survivors include two sons, John Harger of Fruitvale and Erwin Harger of Grand Saline; four daughters, Joyce Brand of Fruitvale, Tracy Gomez of Fruitvale, Sue Nell Harger of Fruitvale, and Delois Glidewell of Grand Saline; one brother, David “Popcorn” Alexander of Grand Saline; three sisters, Delois Langston of Grand Saline, Linda Ray of Hawkins, and Annie Jones of Fruitvale; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Deven Bahena, Gabral Bahena, Chris Lindley, David “Popcorn” Alexander, Roy Brand, Kevin Harger, and Raymond Gomez.
Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Seizmore and Joe Daniels
The family will receive friends for visitation, 1 pm at Riverside Mission Church.
