Services for Jean Daugherty, 78, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church with Bro. Homer Morgan and Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Scurry.
Mrs. Daugherty passed away May 12, 2018, in Grand Saline. She was born November 27, 1939 in Grand Saline, to Homer & Mable Christopher Morgan. Jean was a lifelong resident of Van Zandt County and a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church. She worked many years as a nurses aide for Cozby-Germany Hospital, Anderson Nursing Center, Azalea Trails Nursing & Rehabilitation, Country Trails Care Center and Country Nurses Home Health. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Daugherty; two brothers, Ovilee Morgan and Roy Morgan; sister, Violet Woodrum; and great-granddaughter, Xiana Akhtar.
Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Daugherty and Gail Penny of Fruitvale, Jeffery Daugherty of Fruitvale and Marty Daugherty and wife Denise of Canton; daughter, Rhonda King of Fruitvale; four sisters, Hazel Wheeler of Grand Saline, Pauline Smith and husband Billy Wayne of Fruitvale, Lourilla Stanley of Grand Saline and Homma Lou Lovett of Grand Saline; eight grandchildren, Terry Daugherty, Stephanie Akhtar, Jamie Daugherty, Bri'anna Daugherty, Clair Daugherty, Jordan Daugherty, Indy Daugherty and Cody Daugherty; seven great-grandchildren, Ava, Ella, Jaxon, Shelby, Hannah, Hunter and Nasrin; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Smith, Eddie Smith, Mark Hayes, Jordan Daugherty, Saleem Akhtar, Chris Foster and Terry Daugherty.

The family will receive friends 9 a.m., until service time on Tuesday at the church.
