ALBA – Funeral services for Connie Rice Mize Hill, 47, of Alba, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Alba, with Bro. Byron George officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba.
Connie passed away Friday, April 20, 2018, in Alba.
She was born Sunday, December 6, 1970, in Oak Cliff, to Johnny Ray and Rose Marie Bullock Rice. She married David Dewayne Hill on March 18, 2018, in Alba. Connie lived most of her life in the Alba area and was a 911 dispatcher for Tyler Police Department and the Smith County Sheriff for over 10 years. She was a coach for Little League baseball, was a major sponsor of community activities, was the owner and operator of Connie’s Place for the last eight years and was the provider for Rains County and Yantis Senior Meal Program for the last five years. She was also a member of Amazing Grace Fellowship Church. Connie was married for 18 years to Kevin Mize, the boys’ father.
Survivors include her husband, David Hill of Alba; dad, Johnny Rice of Alba; sons, Jonathan and wife Kristin Mize of Alba and Joshua and wife Alicia Mize of Alba; brother, Jackie Winchester of Milford; sisters, Kathy and husband David Reynolds of Alba and Judy and husband Willy Dryer of Centerville; nephews, Justin Hayes of Alba, Braden Reynolds of Alba, Tyler Dryer of Centerville, Trey Stubblefield of Mineola, and Cody Stubblefield of Mineola; nieces, Yolanda Richey of Van, Shayna Tarter of Mineola, and Miranda Barron of Mineola; great-nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and three brothers.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
