Condolences

Condolence From: John Carey
Condolence: I know it has been sometime since Dean's passing but my family and i were talking about him this weekend and remembering all the good times we had fishing with Dean on Lake Fork. Dean was a one of a kind, amazing individual and we loved him deeply. I was a customer for years but he was my friend. He made me laugh so much. God Bless.

Condolence: I read with great regret of Dean's passing My regards go out to his family, I knew Dean from his years Working with Aramco in Saudi Arabia, He was a character, who often played the practical joke, The guy was easy to work for and being a Brit enjoyed some of his Texan tales, he claimed to be a Hillbilly but he was too soft around the edges to be a real Hillbilly, but his love of the outdoors and his family were always close to him. God bless.

Condolence: I was so sorry to discover that Dean was no longer with us. I, as all who knew him am greatly saddened by his passing. I first met him when a good friend (who has also passed) booked our first of many trips trying to catch “moo maw” about 30 years ago. These trips hold a special place in my heart, but it was the trips later with my grandson that really stand out. Dean treated us like family and I will always be thankful for the precious memories that he helped to create with my grandson and him. I offer up prayers for Ms. Judy and the rest of Deans family. May God bless you. ( I’m sorry this is a year late but I just discovered it)

Condolence: I met Dean several years back while elk hunting in Idaho. We became friends as does anyone else who meets him. I was fortunate enough to be with Dean when he killed his first two elk and he was the reason I killed my first elk that same season. Some of my greatest memories are of hunting with Dean in Idaho. It was truly an honor to get to meet and spend time with such a great man. Prayers out to his family and friends. They don't make them like Dean anymore!

Condolence: What an honor to preach my friend's funeral. Never a lugubrious moment for Dean Stroman! A man of deep conviction and love for God and His people. Honduras will never be the same because Stroman was there. I love him and will miss his face at FBCA.

Condolence: So happy we had the opportunity to know Dean! Chance put him in our path, I know Mike and my boys looked up to and appreciated his love of wildlife and outdoors and his easy-going personality. Mike had a life changing experience with him on the Honduras mission trip. Our sympathies to all the friends and family who will miss his fun and mischeviousness.

Condolence: So sorry for your loss. My wife, grandson, and I met Dean on a mission trip to Honduras. He was a character we will never forget. He was such an inspiration to us. He was determined to beat the cancer, and would not let it hold him down.

Condolence From: Margie Waldroup
Condolence: Our hearts are breaking for your family but glad he's at peace now. Dean and my husband David became fast friends and fishing buddies when we met him some years ago fishing at Lake Fork - they were even from the same hometown. I will miss Dean's big smile and his visits to our house when he and David would go fishing. Wishing your whole family comfort at this time - Margie and David Waldroup
