Obituary for James Richard Utterback

LONE OAK – Graveside service for James Richard Utterback, 85, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017, at Lone Oak City Cemetery with Pastor Sue Gross officiating.
Mr. Utterback passed away October 19, 2017, in Greenville. He was born November 11, 1931, in Hannibal, Missouri, to the late John and Helen Earlene Richards Utterback. He was a truck driver and had driven in 48 states. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was injured in Korea. James lived in Lone Oak for 29 years and was a member of the North Texas Antique Tractor Club, the Gold Circle of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Lone Oak United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his sons, James Kelly and wife Loretta Utterback of Knoxville, Iowa, Kevin and wife Barbara Lindeman of Quinlan, Steven and wife Carla Lindeman of Lansing, Michigan, and Perry Lindeman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughters, Debra Hempy of Des Moines, Iowa, Sherry and husband Craig Welch of Moreno Valley, California, and Linda Kelly and husband Ken Ashby of Dallas; sister, Mary Hogue of Prescott, Iowa; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 49 years, Beverly Jean Utterback; daughter, Linda; and son, Marshall Lindeman.
