Obituary for Bonnie Mae Tate (Curnutt)

Services for Bonnie Mae Tate, 69, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at New Beginnings Baptist Church, Edgewood, with Bro. Bryan Easley officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Mrs. Tate passed away March 8, 2017, at her home in Edgewood. She was born July 16, 1947, in Aspermont to E.W. & Willie Ellen Curnutt. She had lived in Edgewood for 16 years where she was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and Edgewood Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil Tate; son, Steven Ray Tate; two grandsons, Christopher and Brian Breeding; granddaughter, Destyni Filler; son-in-law, Ken Filler; and two brothers, Norman and Roger Curnutt.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Filler of Florida; sisters, Mary Copeland and husband Sammy of Grand Saline and LeeAnn Miller and husband Daniel of Kaufman; grandsons, Braden and Urieah Filler of Florida, J.C. and Tristan Smith of Florida; granddaughter, Chyenne Lashly of Florida; niece, Samantha Morgan and husband Richard of Grand Saline; nephews, Stephen Curnutt of Edgewood and Kobe Blue and wife Brittney of Grand Saline; sister-in-law, Wanda Baldwin and husband Chris of Wills Point; and numerous friends in Edgewood.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Morgan, Kobe Blue, Daniel Miller, Sammy Copeland, Stephen Curnutt and Dakota Davis.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.
