Wendell Willis Williams

ALBA – Services for Wendell Willis Williams, 75, of Alba, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Alba with Bro. Kelly Burton officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Williams passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016, in a Quitman hospital.
He was born Friday, August 15, 1941, in Collinsville, to the late Guy Wade and Clarice Lenore Foster Williams. He married Sharon Ann Sparks on May 30, 1964, in Dallas, TX. Wendell was a Marble Mason for 50 years and lived in Alba for 36 years after moving from Garland. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Alba and a deacon there for 16 years, member of Lake Country Classics (antique cars), avid fisherman, skilled carpenter, and started two companies, (a tackle shop and marble).
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sharon Williams of Alba; three daughters, Paula and Brandon Hass of Alba, Holly and Paul Youngblood of Fort Worth, and Megan and James Holland of Fort Worth; brother, Wade and Joretta Williams of Alba; 5 grandchildren, Samantha Hass, Josh Hass, Abby Gillis, Noah Youngblood, and baby Holland arriving in February.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Jeff Williams.
Pallbearers will be Mark King, Leo Camacho, Rick Carter, Danny Isaacs, Jay Haggerty, and Charlie Hodgson.
Honorary Pallbearers are employees of Central Marble.
Family visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m.
