Obituary for Velma Lois Highnote (Robinson)

ALBA – Services for Velma Lois Highnote, 79, of Alba, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Alba, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Dr. Bob Sexton officiating.
Burial will be in Colony Cemetery, Alba.
Mrs. Highnote passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016, in a Lindale nursing home.
She was born Sunday, September 27, 1936, in Alba, to the late Marshall Omen “Bud” and Gloy Violet Oliver Robinson. She returned to live in Rains County in 1983. She began her career as a secretary and became a vice president in Human Resources in the banking industry in Tyler where she retired after 48 years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and member of the First Baptist Church of Alba.
Survivors include her sons and spouses, Joe Mark and Therese Highnote of Fulshear, and Barry and Kim Highnote of Tyler; daughter and spouse, Lee Anne and Justin Kleam of Alba; brothers and spouses, Brady and Robbie Robinson, Max and Julia Robinson all of Alba; sisters and spouses, Floy Davidson of Grand Saline, Melba and Carol Kelly of Alba, and Sharon and Gary LaFon of Mineola; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Angel, Wesley Highnote, Craig Highnote, Cody Highnote, Sam Highnote, Koby Kleam, Kylie Kleam, and Kirby Kleam; and 4 great-grandchildren, Kayden Bennett, Hayden Highnote, Harrison Angel, and Hollis Angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, Joe Dan Highnote on March 24, 2006.
Pallbearers are Koby Kleam, Wesley Highnote, Craig Highnote, Cody Highnote, Sam Highnote, Heath Richardson, Derek Angel, and Justin Kleam.
Family visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m.
