Obituary for Alvis Ray Wright

ALBA – Services for Alvis Ray Wright, 58, of Alba, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Enon Baptist Church with Bro. Byron George officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba
Mr. Wright passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at his residence.
He was born Thursday, December 6, 1956, in Greenville, to John Alvis and Melba Jean Strebeck Wright. He married Dianne Hass on September 7, 1976, in Quitman. He was the first fiber technician for Peoples Telephone. He had lived in Alba for 38 years and was a member of Bright Star Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Dianne Wright of Alba; three sons and spouses, Johnny Ray and Mandi Wright, Brian and Dusty Wright all of Alba, and Ray and LaRissa Duarte of Emory; daughter and spouse, Alicia and Dakota Poston of Alba; nine grandchildren, Dalton, Shelby, and Kalli Wright, Hunter and Lainey Wright, DezaRay and Alyssa Duarte, James and Johnny Poston and one on the way; mother, Melba Wright of Alba; brothers and spouses, Wayne and Diana Wolfe of Emory, Ricky and Myra Wright of Atlanta, and Michael Wright of Alba; sisters and spouses, Linda and David Morrow of Yantis, and Gina and J.C. Money of Forney; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins..
He was preceded in death by his father, John Alvis Wright in February 2009; grandparents and great-grandparents.
Pallbearers are Danny Mac Huddleston, David Burge, Richard Hass, Michael Young, Jimmy Don McKenzie, and Boedy Baker. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Williams, Marshall Williams, Brandon Hass, Jack Slatter, and the Peoples Telephone Crew.
Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
