Obituary for Robert Aaron Gwaltney

ALBA – Visitation for Robert Aaron Gwaltney, 83, of Alba are scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
He passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, in a Mt. Pleasant hospital.
Graveside services with military honors will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg, Tennessee.
He was born October 25, 1931, in Obion County, Tennessee to the late Cubert D. and Myrtle Turner Gwaltney. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Army. He served three tours in Vietnam as an Army aviator. He had lived in Alba 13 years moving here from Richmond, Tennessee. He also sold real estate, raised Charolais cattle, owned his own airplane, and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his brother and wife, Konrad and Judy Gwaltney of Alba; sister and husband, Brenda and Dickie Williams of Ashdown, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Jane Ryan Gwaltney.
