Obituary for Clovis Emma Davis (Savage)

Services for Clovis Emma Savage Davis, 86, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Winskie officiating.
Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis passed away October 16, 2014, in Grand Saline. She was born October 26, 1927, in Grand Saline to Wesley H. & Mable Louise Fagg Savage. Clovis was a lifelong resident of Grand Saline where she married Harlan Davis in 1950. She worked as a deputy clerk at the auto registration office in Grand Saline and was also a sales clerk at K-Woolens. She was a member of Richland Heights Baptist Church. She played piano and sang throughout the years at churches, funerals, revivals and other events. Clovis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harlan Davis; and sister, Lynna Martin.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Harlan Wayne & Cindy Davis of Grand Saline; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry & Brenda Savage of Denton and Randy & Debbie Savage of Gordon; sister, Mary Davis of Grand Saline; grandson, Wesley & Sarah Davis of Grand Saline; two great-grandchildren, Adam Davis and Emma Davis; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Grier, Johnny Hill, Mark Davis, Danny Currey, Kevin Lyle and James Davis.
Honorary pallbearer will be Doug Scott.
The family would like to thank the staff and employees of Azalea Trail Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Heart to Heart Hospice in Grand Saline.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2014, at the funeral home.
