Services for Wilda Madden Koonce, 81, Grand Saline, are scheduled for 3 p.m., Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Dr. Milfred Minatrea, Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Providence Cemetery.
Mrs. Koonce passed away September 12, 2019, in Tyler. She was born September 15, 1937 in Grand Saline to Emmitt & Inez Attkisson Madden. She spent most of her life in Grand Saline. She attended St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Mineola and she loved to cook for her family and friends. Wilda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Wayne Koonce; two sons, Terry Lynn Koonce and Tommy Joe Koonce; daughter, Donna Kay Brown; twin sister, Wanda Sparks; sister, Gloria Minatrea; and brother, Dale Madden.
Survivors include two sons, Ronny Koonce of Grand Saline and Charles Dale Koonce and wife Vickie of Grand Saline; two daughters, Sheral Ann Griffin of Grand Saline and Becky Courville of Fordoche, LA; two brothers, Wayne Madden of Lufkin and Johnny Madden and wife Mary of Lufkin; sister, Ruthie Welch of Grand Saline; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Koonce, Tony Koonce, Dewain Koonce, Dylan Brown, Levi McKnight and Josh McKnight.
Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Koonce, Joe Dale Nivens, and Jeremy Calvery.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
